About the Lodge:
Maumee Lodge # 725 F.&.A.M. has provided a common platform for men of all origins and social status to meet and converse with each other since 1926 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Freemasonry helps to build the character of men through the presented Masonic Lectures and degree work. Also, it encourages each other to practice the Masonic Tenants of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth through our own education and with the help of our brothers in the Fraternity.

Maumee Lodge meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. with a dinner prior to stated meetings at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Summit City Lodge building on the corner of Portage and Taylor Roads in Fort Wayne.

Degree work for candidates is on the third Thursdays of the month, or other Thursdays as requested/required. Degree work consists of ritualistic and educational presentations for three Masonic degrees. These three degrees are also denoted as the Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason degrees. Maumee Lodge takes great pride in presenting these degrees with exemplary ritualistic work for our new candidates.

History:
Freemasonry originated from the ancient stone masons dating back to the building of King Solomon’s Temple. Mason’s guilds were then established in Europe and England during the middle ages. In 1717 the first speculative Grand Lodge of Freemasons was established in lieu of ancient craft Masonry. The change from “Operative” to “Speculative” Masonry is now what is established as current day Freemasonry.

From the Lodge:
The United States has over 13,000 lodges, each one will extend the warm hand of brotherhood to the community and humankind. At Masonic lodges, all men are equal, regardless of race, income, or religion. Strangers Rest Lodge is no different, practicing the principles of taking good men and making them better.

From the Worshipful Master:
Masonry has much to teach, for both those looking to become Masons and those who have already begun their journey. Please browse this website for more detailed information and as we grow our online platform, we will continue to add enlightening material. Thank you for visiting.
